Ads To Make Your Mouth Water

Today’s ear worm is the jingle from the Opal Fruits advert. Apparently, the slogan was invented by Murray Walker, the man more famous for screaming about racing brum brum cars.

This 1974 advert does all the things that make adverts from this time period feel really creepy. Weird lighting, whispering voice over, odd angles.

Ten years later, there was a lot more water in the ads.

Somehow, this one is both incredibly nineties feeling, and properly sixties feeling, what with the jingle.

And then this happened, and nostalgia bots all over Twitter were primed to explode on a timed delay.
