That’s Not The Magnum Theme

The theme tune for Magnum, P.I. is, as the saying goes, a banger. But it was not always thus. For a few episodes at the start of the first season, this was the theme they used.

And here’s the pallette cleanser.

There must be several examples of shows using different theme tunes, and the two that spring to mind are House

… which seems to alternate between Massive Attack’s Teardrop, and different bland rip offs of it, depending on territory and medium, with no apparent rhyme or reason.
