This clip from the 1986 Oscars has everything you wouldn’t expect to see. Sit back, and watch Back To The Future win a statue for Best Sound Effects Editing.
BTTF seems timeless somehow, albeit being thoroughly rooted in the mid 1980s. So it’s odd to see someone from Police Academy here, let alone the Muppets.
It got me thinking though, what were the reviews of the film like at the time.
From its uproarious, Rube Goldberg-esque opening sight gag to its race-against-time finale, Back to the Future remains a trip worth returning to.
