In 1984, the Hampshire village of Nether Wallop spent a glorious weekend trying to start an International Arts Festival to rival the then burgeoning (and not yet bloated) Edinburgh one. It stemmed from an article by Stephen Pile, who also directed the subsequent documentary film Weekend In Wallop.

That was in the marquee. Earlier, he went on stage in the scout hut as Kevin Turvey. Looks like a few jokes have been cut out of this clip.
The village had previously hosted the film crew of Miss Marple.
