e.phemera: The Secret Rulers of the World

Jon Ronson posted this yesterday on Twitter.

It’s the first part of his series The Secret Rulers of the World, and it’s a fairly harrowing account of the Ruby Ridge siege.

It prompted me to tweet him and ask if he thought Glen Beck was deliberately using the language of the American Militia Movement. Mr Ronson’s reply was “Glenn Beck had me on his show two years ago, and as Conservative talk show hosts went, he was ok. Something’s changed in him.”

I found that last part quite chilling, though I don’t know why.
