I’m building a Steadicam mount, and I need some bits. It’s a really fun project, teaching me how to do things I never thought I could do. So far I have cut sheet metal, bored holes, tapped holes, and learnt what a UNC thread is and how it’s different than a normal thread. All manly things that real men should know apparently, but as I said before, I don’t like getting my hands so greasy. Never mind.
What I need however is the following, and apologies for the old money measurements, I’m working from American plans. If you have such things and can donate them to me, I would be grateful and maybe even smile.
Aluminium tube, with a 2.5 inch inner diameter and quarter inch walls. I need at least one inch of it in length.
Also, though less important, I need some steel angle, quarter inch thick, 3 inches wide and 14 inches in length. That will probably be much easier to find in a metal bin somewhere.
