Sitcom Advent Calendar Day Eighteen

May To December ran for six(!) series, between 1989 and 1994, even surviving the recasting of a main character. Each episode took its title from a pop song, and the show’s title is taken from September Song.

I remember watching this quite a bit when it was on, enjoying its gentle humour, but never really laughing out loud. It must’ve had some charm to it though to keep me interested, so Paul Mendelson’s scripts, and the actors’ performances deserve plenty of praise.

This one also has another of those ear-worm theme tunes, that has stuck with me ever since. The first two series are available on [amazon asin=B000A3OOIG&text=DVD].
