Browsing through old copies of the Daily Mirror, inside the one for this day in 1993, I came across this article. It tells of a new project by Cilla Black, in which she voices an animated version of her 11 year old self, who goes around the country having adventures with her dog called Lennon.

I’m not sure that it did make it to air on the ITV special (let me know if it did), but in September of the the following year, it was being shopped around an unspecified film festival.

And there you might think it would end. No one bought it. The full series was never made. But the pilot does still exist. It’s got the look of a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, and is full of music puns.
