Whoops Apocaclips

Here’s an intriguing way to announce a new series to the public, and one that fits nicely in with the ethos of earlier listings for End Of Part One. In the Daily Mirror, on 14th August 1980, nearly a full year before it aired, we saw this, amongst the schedule for a late night repeat.

There seemed to be a bit of industry buzz about Whoops Apocalypse. By the 19th November, The Stage had this.

And by February the following year, the same publication was making some bold predictions.

At the end of the month came this intriguing announcement, also in The Stage.

The book looked like this.

Finally, the week before the show finally aired, LWT took out a full page advert in The Stage.

It won an award before it even aired.
