Noel Meets Shatner (Sans Bassoon)

In another one of those incongruous TV moments through the years, here’s a series of sketches starring William Shatner and Noel Edmonds. They featured in Noel’s New York House Party, which aired, live from New York, on March 15, 1997. This was because TC1 at Television Centre, the usual home of Crinkly Bottom, was being used for that year’s Comic Relief. So, they upped sticks, and took residence in The Ed Sullivan Theatre, which was the home of The Late Show with David Letterman.
