Griff And Nige Drink Bud Light

I came across a brilliant YouTube channel last night, thanks to Twitter, and it’s well worth exploring. But two short adverts jumped out at me. First, this one.

At first, you might be forgiven for thinking it’s a British advert, but as it goes on, it becomes readily apparent that its a US one. It aired in 1993, so it’s not even really cashing in on Planer being over there for The Young Ones remake.

Then I saw this one.

It such an incongruous thing, seeing these two in an American commercial.

I can’t find any articles about the campaign, so I don’t know the thinking behind it, or if it’s a Talkback thing or what.

So, all we can do is enjoy the oddity.
