One of the most notorious show cancellations in the US happened to Tim Conway, of all people.
Turn-On was ABC’s attempt to steal the thunder of NBC’s Laugh-In, to which end they lured that show’s producers and writers across, promising them carte-blanche for a sketch show. Here’s how one of those producers, George Schlatter remembered it all in 2010.
