In a monologue written and introduced by Ben Elton, here’s Blackadder’s appearance at the Royal Variety Performance in 2000. There’s an obvious edit at the start of this. Wonder what was excised. I can’t seem to find my True History Of Blackadder by JF Roberts either to check. Where did I put it? Anyone know?

Compo & Clegg’s Crinkley Bottoms
Thanks to @pcstratford here’s a rare threat from Noel’s House Party, when Compo and Clegg ring the bell. And if you stay to the end credits, you’ll see that it was even written by Roy Clarke. This episode aired on the 5th December 1992, one day before the Summer Wine episode Who’s Got Rhythm?.

I’ve been trying to find footage of Bill Owen, Peter Sallis, and Brian Wilde at the 1984 Royal Variety Performance. I assume they were in character as Compo, Clegg, and Foggy. Alas, I cannot find any. Here’s the first 45 minutes of the show though, and it cuts off before we find out who Dustin…
